One-Way Vision Window Vinyl: the OneView Perforated Vinyl Range

Simplifying Media Selection for Perforated Window Film: the OneView One-Way Vinyl Range

Selecting the right perforated window vinyl has traditionally involved a fair amount of compromise. Print providers and installers need to balance graphic impact, outward visibility, light transmission, durability, and production stability — often while navigating product ranges filled with overlapping specifications.

With the introduction of our OneView perforated window vinyl range, our goal at Papergraphics is to make the specification process much simpler.

Rather than building a broad catalogue of near-identical materials, we developed OneView as a focused family of one-way vision films. Each product is designed around specific application requirements, from high-impact retail graphics through to vehicle windows and internally applied glazing.

Built on Proven Applications

The OneView range builds on our long-standing 60/40 perforated vinyl — a product our customers have successfully used for years across retail, commercial, and vehicle graphics.

As customer project requirements evolved, we've expanded the range to address different priorities more clearly: some applications demand stronger privacy and bolder graphics — others place greater emphasis on outward visibility and natural interior light.

The result is a smart, application-led range intended to remove much of the guesswork from selecting perforated window vinyl media.

Four Front-Mounted Options for External Installation

For standard external window graphics, the range includes four front-mounted films, each engineered for a different balance of visibility and graphic density.

OneView 80/20: Maximum Impact

Designed for maximum graphic coverage and privacy, making it ideal for bold retail campaigns and high-impact storefront branding.

OneView 70/30: Balanced Visibility

A more balanced option that combines strong external graphic visibility with improved outward vision and light transmission, suited to commercial glazing and shopfronts.

OneView 60/40: Superior Visibility

Prioritises outward visibility and natural light for brighter interior spaces (available in both polymeric and monomeric forms) for longer-term applications, such as shopfronts and commercial windows.

ULTRA 60/40: Refined Detail

Features smaller 1mm perforations to improve graphic sharpness in close-view environments while maintaining light transmission. This film is for high-end retail and similar detail-sensitive close-view installations. It delivers minimal disruption to the graphics, produces outstanding images on one side, and provides excellent view-through on the other.

OneView 70/30 Clear: Internal Installation Alternative

We have also introduced OneView 70/30 Clear, developed for environments where a more subtle presentation is required — or where external application is impractical due to access restrictions, planning requirements, or exposure to vandalism.

As a completely transparent film, it allows graphics to sit more naturally against the glazing, creating a finish that integrates with the glass rather than sitting on top of it. This makes it well-suited to boutique retail, corporate interiors, and architectural glazing where branding needs to be present without dominating the space.

The One-Way Effect with OneView Clear

The one-way effect is achieved through a controlled three-layer print process using white ink:

  • Printing the graphic in reverse to ensure it reads correctly from the exterior
  • Applying a white ink layer to provide opacity and support colour strength
  • Finishing with a black ink backing layer to create the one-way view from inside the space

OneView 70/30 Clear is compatible with UV, Latex, Solvent, and Eco-Solvent print technologies.

Addressing Common Production Challenges

Perforated media behaves differently from standard self-adhesive vinyl, particularly during longer print runs where liner stability, curing, and ink build-up can affect production reliability.

We developed the OneView perforated window vinyl range specifically to reduce these common variables through:

  • Optimised ICC Profiles — Custom-profiled for OneView to ensure accurate ink laydown.
  • Stable Liners — Designed for consistent feeding during long, unsupervised print runs.
  • Printer Compatibility — Developed for reliable performance across HP Latex, Solvent, Eco-solvent, and UV workflows.

Simplifying Media Specification

We are not positioning OneView as a reinvention of perforated window graphics. Instead, we see it as a more practical approach to media selection. For print providers, the benefit is not about having more options — it is about having clearer ones. By simplifying the specification, we aim to help reduce production uncertainty.
